Shampa Dhar-Kamath is a textile and travel junkie whose life has been spent reading and writing. She grew up in Allahabad (which she refuses to call Prayagraj) and has lived and worked in Calcutta, Hyderabad and New Delhi.
A journalist at heart and by training, she wore an editor-writer-columnist hat while conceptualizing and executing high-impact events in education, sports, women’s issues and literature across the country for The New Indian Express. Before that, she created and edited several publications for the India Today Group, and devised communication strategy for corporates while working with McKinsey & Company. She briefly worked as COO with the Fashion Design Council of India, before leaving to start yezdeekaye.com.
She also daydreams about the books she’s too lazy to write and works in the fields of education and sustainability.
